As Hungary’s first mobile telecommunications infrastructure provider, CETIN Hungary has a longstanding commitment to sustainable data transmission. The STEMpowered by CETIN free talent program aims to support young girls before they make career choices, helping them see technical and technology-related professions as real and attractive opportunities.

I graduated from the Budapest Business School of Commerce in 1993, and after a summer of self-admitted time off, I threw myself into the job search. It wasn't easy but on 18 October of that year I went for an interview at Pannon GSM, which hadn't even been founded yet. At the interview I was asked three questions, the most important was: when could you start? I said tomorrow, and I got the job.

The SD-WAN networking strategy allows companies to replace outdated firewalls, routers, and WAN optimization appliances with a single appliance. This minimizes hardware requirements and power consumption. In addition, the entire strategy is sustainable and has a high-security profile. The project will be completed later this year.

CETIN Hungary has multi-operator radio access network sharing agreement in Hungary. That means that the mobile network built and operated by CETIN is being used to deliver communication services to the end customers of more than one commercial operator. 

Career choices are mostly decided in high school, and fewer girls choose engineering and technology careers due to a lack of supportive environment, according to research by CETIN Hungary Zrt. The independent, integrated telecommunications infrastructure provider wants to change this by launching a free talent program for secondary school girls in partnership with the Association of Hungarian Women in Science (NaTE).

In the newest quarter of Budapest, there are residential properties, offices, common spaces, shops, and a hotel. Based on the developer's expectations, 25,000-30,000 people will live and work here by 2030. As nowadays both residential and business life expect adequate network and mobile coverage, it was particularly important to establish the possibility of network connectivity.

This belief forms the cornerstone of Girls' Day, a day dedicated to supporting and encouraging teenage girls to become whoever they want to be. 

The independent indoor antenna system of CETIN Hungary helped a luxury hotel situated on the southern shore of Lake Balaton to establish the best quality network connectivity. The Mövenpick Balaland Resort Lake Balaton is located in Szántód, at Somogy County.
